If you want to do something extra ordinary regarding the decoration of your bedroom, living room or other rooms of your home, than you can easily do it by hanging fabric or cloth on the walls of the rooms. It is a very easy work to attach the fabric to the walls, but it requires enough time. Firstly you have to choose or select a fabric which shouldn’t be unraveled easily. It should be of medium weight. If the fabric pulls out easily, while, hanging than it is nor a good choice. On the other side if it doesn’t pull out easily than it is a good kind of fabric. Before cutting the fabric you have to wash the fabric and make it dry, so it would shrink before using. For the application of the fabric on the wall you have to purchase the pre-mixed liquid starch. You can also make it at home by mixing the material yourself by following the instructions written on the pack. You have to put the starch in a big tub or in a wallpaper trough. You have to protect the floor from the starch also, for this you can use plastic sheets t cover the floor. You have to cover the furniture, lamps of your room also, for their protection.

You have to measure and cut the first strip of the fabric for the wall treatment. It should be according to the length of the wall and width of the cloth. You have to cut more length of the cloth, if it is of a particular type of pattern, for the proper alignment of the pattern. For the application you have to dip the cloth into the starch, but you needn’t to squeeze the liquid from the cloth, as it will make wrinkles on the fabric or cloth. For preventing the cloth from wrinkles, someone have to hold the piece of fabric over the tub or trough. You have to use your hands for the application of starch on the fabric properly from top to the bottom.

After the application of the starch to the wall you have to attach the fabric to the wall and have to make it smooth with the help of a plastic putty knife or something else with straight edge. You can also use a sponge to smooth the bubbles or wrinkles from the cloth. Once you have applied first piece on the wall then do the same with other pieces also. You can easily wipe off the excess starch as it doesn’t ruin many surfaces.

For making the fabric dry earlier, you have to place a heater or a window fan in the room, where you have applied the fabric. You can also add boarder if you want to add after drying of the fabric. You have to cut several pieces of borders according to the width of the material. After cutting you can hang them after dipping in the starch. It is easy for you, if you apply the border immediately after hanging the fabric. You can make the border smooth with the help of a sponge mop.

You can easily launder the wall fabric when required. For this you have to pull the pieces of fabric from the wall and after launder you can re-hang them by re-dipping. You can also change the look of the room while doing this, by adding something new.
