In United States, most commonly used wood covering is Hardboard siding. It is a stronger type of wood then others. It is made from natural fibers of wood. Then this fiber is fixed with other semisolid substances secreted by some trees and then panels are made from it. To avoid moisture then these panels are heated to make them more solid. It is not similar to other type wood. There is no fear of its weakening like other wood types. We can use it as a natural wood. We can drill it, paint it and do anything with it.

If the paint of hardboard siding used in your home is peeling off, it is due to presence of moisture in the paint or due to inadequate heating of the surface panel before painting.

To handle this problem we have to repaint the whole house. The proper way to handle this problem is this that firstly we have to peel the old paints from the hardboard siding with any type of method. We should need to be careful, in saving the hardboard from damage.

When the loose paint is removed from the hardboard siding, then we can use pressure washer to remove all the dirt from it. For the proper painting of the hardboard siding we should carefully rinse all the walls before painting. If moisture will be there then paint can’t make hard bonding with the surface.

To make the siding dry, we can use primer on it. The choice of primer should be good. If we want to achieve the best results, we have to follow the rules and directions written by the manufacturer on the container. We can apply primer through paint brush or through paint spray gun. Spray gun can save our time. If you apply two coats of primer then it is much better.

Before going to the next step of painting, allow the primer of hardboard to dry completely. After the work of primer is over, the surface should be painted properly, because primer can’t take the place of paint. If we wait for months after primer, then we have to do much work after months. We have to apply the primer again. So it is necessary to paint the surface, after primer.

For painting, we should use a superior quality of exterior acrylic latex house paint. Directions written on containers should be used for the best results. For painting, we can again use paint brushes, of paint spray gun. Care should be taken while painting. We don’t have to leave spots on the walls because they can further create problem during weather change.
