You can also use Flat paint for your home. If the walls of the home are dry, then the flat paint will be suitable for painting them. It is not washable, so it can be used in those areas only where washing is not needed, like it can be used in living room.

If you have some special areas in your home, you need to paint them differently. For the wooden stairs and porch you can use Deck enamel paint, because it is durable in nature. You should use heat resistor paint for chimneys, pipes, fireplaces of your home. If there is much metal material, like iron fence, steel doors, used in your home you should use the paint of that type which can prevent the metal from the rust.
