You can also laminate the pictures for getting good results and after lamination can fix them to the counters with the help of glue. You can also apply the printed shelf papers to cover the counter tops.

You can attach fabric with decoupage glue on the counter tops. For this, firstly you have to make a thin layer of the glue on the entire counter top. After this paste the fabric on it and spread a thin layer of the decoupage glue on the fabric also. Leave the glue for drying. Once the glue is dry, you have to sand the counter with the help of light weighted steel wool. You can apply the varnish with the help of spray or brush. You can cut the fabric in different shapes like square, triangle and arrange them on the counter tops in a beautiful manner. It will make the appearance of the countertops attractive.

For the bathroom thin counters you can attach colored foam with the help of glue. You can maintain it easily, because it is washable in nature. It is easily marred also, so you have to take care and not to keep scissors, hot blow dryers or other hot items etc. on it.

You can also apply dimension paint, available in the market, on the rough counter tops to give them a better look. Application of this paint on the counter will make the look of the surface like stone. Apply double coating of paint, once the paint is dry; seal it with the help of sealant. You can also use the paints which already contain sealant in them. You will get very good results with a little cost only.

You can also use the combination of the above said techniques, for the counter tops. You will get a new look of your counter tops.
